Think Florida, you think sun, you think Miami Vice, you think gators. You don’t think cool old folks with blue hair and big sunglasses cruising gated golf communities in convertible American-made cars. But you should. Heck, in Florida blue-do’s are more dominant the than Disney himself! So we’re dedicating our lazy blue-hued summer weisse to them, the septuagenarians, the aesthetically ambivalent. The ones who treat life like one big chill vacation.
Matured in the French Ardennes, Le Lièvre de Wignac is a 100% pure apple juice natural cider. Made with 65% of different varieties of sweet, bitter and sour cider apples and with 35% of eating apples.
Afterwards, juices need to ferment during several months in barrels before being assembled and bottled on the estate. Environment friendly, the orchards are in organic transition.
Better served fresh, “Le Lièvre de Wignac” can be served with ice cubes. Gluten free and with a low alcohol content (4,5%), enjoy it for pre-dinner drinks and trough the evening. It’s also a perfect partner for your brunches.
Our golden-yellow, alcohol-free wheat beer tastes like a premium wheat beer: tangy, fresh and full-bodied, with hints of cloves and honey as well as a fine yeasty spirit. The unique wheat beer taste is achieved by a method developed in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich-Weihenstephan: the top fermentation is not interrupted and the beer has time to mature, only after the maturation the alcohol is carefully withdrawn. It is a first-class thirst quencher after sports or a good companion to light summer dishes, sweet and sour dishes, or fruit sorbets. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.
Dense tan head, on a ruby brown colored beer. Toasted malt with a hint of grass, herbs and raisin. Beautifully balanced. Made by a talented home brewer whose beers were extremely well received at Belgian beer festivals. So well in fact, that Brouwerij DIlewyns opened in 2011, becoming Belgium’s newest brewery. Led by 24 year old dynamo, Anne-Catherine Dilewyns
Trappist beers tend to be named after the place in which the monastery is situated. We’ve called ours ‘Tynt Meadow’, to honour the link with the plot of land on which monastic life was refounded here in the Midlands almost two centuries ago. Being part of the great Trappist tradition, we’ve chosen to produce a strong dark ale, but one with a clearly English character.
Tynt Meadow is mahogany-coloured, with a subtle, warm red hue, and a lasting beige head. Its aroma carries hints of dark chocolate, liquorice, and rich fruit flavours. The beer is full-bodied, gently balancing the taste of dark chocolate, pepper, and fig. It leaves a warm and dry finish on the palate.
The St.Bernardus Abt 12 is the pride of our stable, the nec plus ultra of our brewery. Abbey ale brewed in the classic ‘Quadrupel’ style of Belgium’s best Abbey Ales. Dark with a full, ivory-colored head. It has a fruity aroma, full of complex flavours and excells because of its long bittersweet finish with a hoppy bite. (10,0% ABV) Worldwide seen as one of the best beers in the world. It’s a very balanced beer, with a full-bodied taste and a perfect equilibrium between malty, bitter and sweet. One of the original recipes from the days of license-brewing for the Trappist monks of Westvleteren.
